From Franklin (for RVers)
- Arrive in Franklin area via major highway into US-441 / NC 28 corridor.
- Navigate to the junction of Business 441 and NC 28 in Franklin.
- Head north on NC 28 for about 6.5 miles until you reach Bennett Road.
- Turn left onto Bennett Road and go approximately 0.3 miles to an intersection with Rose Creek Road.
- Turn right onto Rose Creek Road, and continue for about 0.5 miles until you reach Lyle Downs Road.
- Turn left onto Lyle Downs Road and go ~0.2 miles.
- Then turn left onto Terrace Ridge Drive. Continue down the hill, bearing left at the bottom. You’ll arrive at 140 Terrace Ridge Drive.
Tips / Warnings for RV Drivers
- Some of the roads in the last mile (Rose Creek Road, Lyle Downs, Terrace Ridge) may be narrow, steep, or less maintained, so advise slower speed and caution.
- If an RV is large / have wide clearance requirements, instruct drivers to use “avoid small roads” features in GPS apps.
- Provide a GPS coordinate fallback: about 35.23838 N, 83.40431 W (approx)
- Suggest stopping at a known “major road junction” (e.g. NC 28 / Bennett Road) as a check point before entering more rural roads.
- Consider a printable map with the last-leg roads zoomed in (Rose Creek Road → Lyle Downs → Terrace Ridge).
