In 2021, a NEW dog park was added, a picnic pavilion, the pool was converted to salt, additional sites were upgraded to 50 amp service, site improvements including rock & retainer walls, camp store renovation, and the bathhouse was newly remodeled! The wifi provider is HughesNet and it is the ONLY option for this area in the mountains at this time. The wifi is not always reliable as weather, streaming, and campground volume can be a factor, so if you need reliable wifi you will need to bring your own hot spot. AT&T seems to be the best option. We genuinely hope to have other wifi options in the future to provide to our guests. Thank you for understanding.
We have 30 amp and 50 amp full hook-up sites, back-in sites, pull-through sites, pop-up camper or tent sites with water and electric, and primitive tent sites with common water only! On-site cabins, Conestoga Wagons/Glamping, and rental RV available.
Each site has its own picnic table and fire ring. Our central bath house includes lockable individual private showers, toilet, sink and a family bath also. We have a beautiful, newly upgraded swimming pool on the grounds. Also there is gem mine next to the campground that you can walk to easily. Ice is sold at the camp store for $3 for a bag and Firewood is $8 a bundle. We do not allow firewood to be brought into the campground because it can harbor invasive species that are detrimental to the local ecosystem. We are a pet friendly campground as long as they are leashed and you clean up after them immediately. Quiet time is 10pm to 8am.
Superb camp ground… The whole experience from the online help when making the reservation to actually staying here for three nights has been above and beyond. Jerry, our camp host was out of this world. The woman who helped us on the phone when we called several times was always so friendly and helpful. Even the firewood that they brought was top-notch. Beautiful, clean, well-kept, and they definitely care about their campground and its visitors. Will definitely return here.
We had a great time there. The grounds were Immaculate the camp host was so sweet and ready to help with anything we ask her. Staying in the stagecoach was so cool with it having electricity and air but still was old timey enough to get the feel of a old stagecoach. If you’re looking for a place stay in Franklin STAY AT ROSE CREEK!
We camped here for three days. It was wonderful! Very clean restrooms. Franklin is def the place to be of you’re looking to do some mining. There are people that live here year round. We were on site 14, in the primitive area, alone. The manager? Jerry, is awesome! Always made sure we had plenty of ice and wood. After 3 days we moved up north to Pisgah national forest. Wish we would have stayed at Rose creek the whole time. We will be back!
Nice campground! Clean and spacious bathrooms. Nice fishing pond, dog park and pool. Great camp host. Gem mine connected. Walmart nearby for people like me who always forget something. The Chuckwagons look amazing. I peeked inside and was surprised at how big they are.
